Clinical approach

My aim is to speak directly to you, the patient, and to your family and friends about my therapeutic approach. In my view, you are at the center and not your medical condition. The first step is to collect data about your condition: its origin, extent of spread, and biological characteristics of the tumor  and its clinical behavior. I will learn about you and your lifestyle, and then, when gathered the full picture, I am able to make a definitive diagnosis of your tumor and select the optimal treatment for your particular case. As a Professor of Oncology, my job is to integrate all the relevant data in order to choose the most suitable and effective treatment for you.

I want to emphasize that my approach is that the best results are receive by a collaboration of a team of professionals. The members include the Oncologist, specialists in Diagnostic Radiology, state of the art Surgeons who are experts in their field as well as a supporting team which includes Social Workers who are trained in the care of the cancer patient and his/her family,Psychologists and Dietitions if needed. The diagnosis and treatment plan are drawn up by the concerted efforts of all these professionals. Treatment is custom tailored to each patient's condition. As the Oncologist, I am part of the decision process through all its stages – from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up.

You come to me in a time of crisis, and I am here to help you find the solutions that will bring you the best medical results based on the latest research findings and treatment methods. In parallel I will do my best to keep you a good quality of life and to balance between the best option of treatment to quality of your life.
